Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
Overall rate of chemical reactions is affected not only by individual reactions but also by mass and heat transfer. This lecture will cover reaction engineering, which are essential for the design of chemical processes and the determination of reaction rates.
【Learning Objectives】
By the end of the course, students should be able to grasp the overall phenomena occurring in reactors, analyze individual processes quantitatively, select reactor type suitable for the target, and make simple design quantitatively.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
【Grading Criteria /Policies】
A comprehension test will be given at the end of each lecture, and the final grade will be calculated based on the total of these scores.
