Outline (in English)

(Course outline) This course provides students with the foundations for the Organic Chemistry. It will address the basic knowledges of organic chemistry and recent advances as well. Students will learn to recognize such organic reactions in relation to the chemical structures of the molecules.
(Learning Objectives) At the end of the course, students are expected to understand the chemical structure of organic compounds and describe the organic reactions.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)Before and after each class meeting, students will be expected to have completed the required assignments. Your study time will be four hours for a class.
(Grading Criteria /Policies) Final grade will be calculated according to the following process; the required assignments (30%), the mid-term report (30%) and the term-end examination (40%).
