Outline (in English)

(Outline)
Through these lectures you learn the organic chemistry in terms of organo electron theory and molecular orbital theory.
Prior to this lecture you should understand the basic organic chemistry which you studied in the first year.

(Goal)
Students will be able to explain structures, natures, and reactions of organic compounds in terms of electronic theory and molecular orbital theory of organic chemistry.
In the first half, students will learn basis of derivatives of carboxylic acids, enolate anions, and amines.
In the latter half, students will learn concept of frontier orbital theory and predict organic reactions according to Woodward-Hoffmann rule.

(Work to be done outside of class)
Students should review the textbook, note, and printed matter.

(Grading criteria)
Students must attend the class (60%) and submit the assigment
Mid term sxamination: 40%; Term-end examination: 40%; Assignments: 20%
