Outline (in English)

(Course outline) This course aims to have students master the application of the first, the second, and the third laws of thermodynamics. Students will solve many kinds of problems involving numerical calculations.
(Learning Objectives) Students are expected to formulate and solve problems related to the first, the second, and the third laws of thermodynamics. Students also try to solve some problems written in English.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant chapter(s) from the text. Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Your study time will be four hours for a class.
(Grading Criteria /Policies) Final grade will be calculated according to the following process; the term-end examination (45%) and the required assignments (55%).
