Outline (in English)

1.Course outline
This course is a first-year education program, aiming to provide learning skills for students by training academic writings, searching technique of appropriate literatures and preparation of oral presentations.

2.Learning Objectives
Students learn basic skills in the university, including how to obtain necessary information, how to register classes, and how to make scientific presentations.

3.Learning activities outside of classroom
 All the students must make two presentations, the one on a new article from Nature Chemistry and the one on his/her current interest. Students must prepare presentation files outside the class. Students are also required to answer many questions from the instructor in class.

4.Grading Criteria /Policy
Two presentations 50 %
Positiveness in class 50 %
