Outline (in English)

Course outline
Bioinformatics is a combined field of biology, computer science and mathematics. It is necessary and useful method in current biological research. The aim of this course is to help students understand the fundamental principles of bioinformatics and what can be done by using it.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to interpret on what biological basis bioinformatic analyses are performed and what do the data indicate.
Learning activities outside of classroom
Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class. Your study time will be about two hours for a class.
Grading Criteria /Policy
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process. Short reports of each class (30 %) and term-end examination (70 %)
