Outline (in English)

(Course Outline)"Sports could be regarded as kinds of culture?" The theme of the lecture is not to find out answers to the question. Sports are no longer merely physical activities. It is overshadowed by politics, economy and society, furthermore a tremendous number of people are involved in. They contain commercial value, entertainment, and something spiritual. It seems to be a tool for life, and sometimes we consider it as the way that should be traced. Once looking closely at various elements of sports and reconstructing them to reconsider how they appear their styles, we could discover the modernity of sports. Culture could only be approved after the laps of decades. Confirm that sports and the phenomena surround them have worth, inherited from ancestors.
(Learning Objectives)Rather than evaluating sports only in terms of victory or defeat, or looking only at the results of superiority or inferiority, what are the reasons why sports have increased their presence in society over time? By focusing on the beauty of the sport, while also looking at the various injustices that are sometimes exposed, we should be able to reaffirm the characteristics of the sport. How people and the systems around them work to make the value of records and fine play a reality. How the efforts of individuals and the wisdom of the supportive world have worked well together. We will proceed with an analysis of the society that supports the achievements of modern sports.
(Learning Activities outside of Classroom)Obtain information in advance about the origins of the sport of interest and the challenges it faces. Knowing when, where, and how the sport was born and how it came to be what it is today is a useful hint for an overview of the culture of the sport as a whole. Such knowledge is useful in identifying the differences from other sports and eventually brings the entire sport into three-dimensional perspective.
Students should have a broad perspective before taking the course in sports culture theory. This is because of the vast number of issues involved. For this reason, at least two hours each for preparation and review is standard.
(Grading Criteria/Policy)(Grading Criteria/Policy)The sum total of the evaluation of "assignments for each lecture" and "in-class examinations to be set during the final lecture time" will be the factor for credit approval.
Face-to-face: "Assignments for each lecture" will be written and submitted on the spot within the designated time during the lecture time (since they require writing in a relatively short period of time, students are encouraged to develop their writing skills on a regular basis).
Points will be given according to the content of the answers given by nomination or by raising hands.
Score: 39 points (3 points/0.1 point increments x 13) for each of the 13 assignments in the lecture, excluding the final day, if the student continues to receive full marks.
The final paper exam (20 points for term/phrase questions, 25 x 2 = 50 points for the essay) must be taken in the final lecture.
If all are perfect, 109 points will be awarded.

For students who represent the school during regular lectures, or who are absent due to illness or unavoidable absences from weddings and funerals, an additional report assignment (maximum 3 points) will be posted via the Learning Support System after the final exam in lieu of the in-class assignment (e.g., the default document, designated Athletic Association documents, funeral cards, copies of receipts dated from medical institutions, etc.). and copies of dated receipts from medical institutions, etc.]. However, this condition applies only up to three times per person. Absences for personal reasons are not eligible for relief. In this case, the report will be more voluminous than the regular in-class assignments.

The final exam, an important component of the credit, is scheduled on the last day of class, not during the exam period, so please be sure not to miss it.
