Outline (in English)
Ecology is a field of study that deals with the relationship between organisms and their environment (biological and non-biological environment). Here, we deal with agricultural ecosystems, with a focus on agricultural pests and plant diseases, to deepen our understanding of the relationship between the environment, organisms, and the human beings involved.
Agroecosystems are special ecosystems managed by humans for food production. In this course, students will understand the life cycles of the pests and the pathogens of plant diseases in this agroecosystem. In addition, students will learn knowledge and techniques for managing agricultural pests and plant diseases based on the agroecosystem and statistical analysis to evaluate their effectiveness. The evaluation will be based on whether the student understands the lecture content and has acquired the basic knowledge as a plant physician, with emphasis on the presentation and report of exercises (80%), as well as on the student's attitude and other factors (20%).

生態学は生物と環境（生物的環境、非生物的環境）との関係を扱う研究分野である。ここでは具体的な対象として農業害虫および植物病を中心とした農業生態系を扱い、環境と生物、およびそれに関わる人間との関係について理解を深めることを目的とする。
到達目標Goal
農業生態系は食料生産のために人間によって管理されている特別な生態系である。この授業では、その農業生態系における害虫の生活環および植物病の伝染環を理解する。加えて、農業生態系を踏まえた農業害虫や植物病の管理と、その有効性を評価する統計的な解析の基本的な手法を習得する。

学生が理解しやすりように、パワーポイントを用いて解説する。で きるだけ、写真や図表を提示してわかりやすく解説する。また、関連する資料を配布し、講義終了後でも確認できるようにする。課題のフィードバック、質問等へのフィードバックは、学習支援システム(Hoppii)または次の講義にて行う。

それぞれの内容ごとに資料を配布するので、学生はこれをもとにして、講義のポイントをまとめておく。課題に関して図書館にある関連図書やwebサイトで調べ、授業中に学んだことを、十分理解するように心がける。
本授業の準備・復習時間は、各４時間を標準とします。
