Outline (in English)
This course is the study of nature and the scope of environmental problems, including water, soil and air pollutions. Other topics addressed include, environmental purification materials, and an appropriate analytical method for solving environmental problems.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
大学院修士課程で学ぶ必要のある範囲の環境科学、環境材料科学、その中でも水、土壌、大気の環境問題（陸水、地下水の環境問題、土壌の重金属汚染問題、放射性物質汚染問題、地球温暖化問題等）およびそれらを解決する環境浄化材料と環境分析方法について講義する。
到達目標Goal
学生が到達すべき行動目標を以下に示す・
１）過去および現在の環境問題（特に水環境問題と放射性物質汚染問題）に関する具体的事例を列挙し、説明できる。
２）環境問題解決へ有効な環境浄化材料を提案できる。
３）環境問題解決のための適切な分析評価方法を提案できる。
The goals of this course are to
(1) be able to explain global environmental problems, past and present.
(2) be able to propose environmental purification materials effective for solving environmental problems.
(3) be able to propose an appropriate analytical method for solving environmental problems.

様々な環境汚染問題（水環境、土壌環境、大気環境）を化学者の観点から講義する（7回）。また環境問題を解決するために必要な分析方法および環境浄化材料に関する最新の論文を紹介する（7回）。 パワーポイント資料を用いた講義形式の授業で、環境問題に関係する１回以上の口頭発表とレポートを課す。 The first seven lectures are on an overview of the environmental problems, water, air and soil pollutions. The following lectures are to learn about environmental purification materials and analytical methods for solving environmental problems. Some advanced topics in environmental problems will be also addressed and discussed. The students will make presentations and reports about assigned themes in environmental problems, environmental purification materials and environmental analytical methods.
