Outline (in English)

Course outline:
This class aims to understand basic software reliability theory. By reading the textbook on software reliability engineering, the students will grasp how to assess the reliability of software products and their difficulties. Also, they will see some perspectives for ideal software production.
Learning objectives:
Students will acquire an understanding of
1) basic concepts of reliability engineering,
2) the importance of software reliability, and
3) how to evaluate software reliability by using several mathematical techniques.
Learning activities outside of the classroom:
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to grasp the course content.
Grading criteria/Policy:
The lecturer will decide your overall grade based on the following:
Contribution to the class and goodness of presentation: 50%, In-class exercise and final report: 50%
