Outline (in English)
The aim of this course is to help students acquire an understanding of the basic concepts and the mathematical theories on stochastic models for maintenance problems to students taking this course. It also enhances the development of students' skill in analysis of some counting processes.

各種システムに対する最適な保全方策を導出する上で有用な確率モデルの考え方と数学的な理論を学ぶ．また，基礎となる確率論と確率過程論，特にポアソン過程と再生過程にも触れる．
到達目標Goal
時間計画保全のための確率モデルの構造と性質を理解する．また，数値解析を通してモデルの定量的な評価を行うことができる．
The goals of this course are to
(1) Understand the structure and the properties of some stochastic models for Time-based maintenance.
(2) Evaluate the stochastic models from quantitative viewpoints through numerical analysis.

基本的には講義形式で行う．初めに数学的な準備として確率過程，特に代表的な計数過程であるポアソン過程と再生過程の特徴と性質を解説する．次に時間計画保全のための幾つかの確率モデルについて，基本的な考え方と重要な性質を説明する．適宜演習を交えながら講義を進める．
Following lectures, the fundamental theories of Poisson and renewal processes are explained at the first step. In the next, I will explain the frameworks and the properties of some stochastic models for Time-based maintenance. The students will be asked to join the discussions and consider their own solutions for questions.

学部レベルの確率論と統計学の内容を理解していることを前提とする．また，数値計算を行うための能力をある程度有していること．
Prior to this course, the students must understand basic probability theory and statistics at bachelor level. Also, the students have the ability of numerical computation.

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
レポート(2回程度の予定・60%)と平常点（40%）で評価する．

内容が難しいとの意見があったため，定理の導出に関する説明は最小限に留め，定理の意味や使用法に重点を置いて講義を行う．
Some students had an opinion that the contents of this course are too difficult. Thus, the proofs of some theorems would be omitted and their interpretations and usages will be provided.
