Outline (in English)

1. The first half of the lecture will give the historical and basic stories; (1) concept of an energy in analytical mechanics; (2) relationships among thermodynamics, analytical thermodynamics, and analytical chemical thermodynamics; (3) extension of analytical electrochemistry from analytical chemical thermodynamics and solid-state electrochemistry; (4) applications to the solid-state electrochemical theory to present battery technology.
2. The latter half of the lecture will give the principles and characteristics of synthesis methods involving the gas or solid phase using high-energy reaction fields as well as examples of practical applications of material synthesis processes.
