Outline (in English)

Students will learn a design method for software that requires user's interaction. The design method for this type of software is different from those for scientific calculation and simulation, and deals with the behavior of software to process user manipulations and/or user reactions. This course covers from psychological studies about human to machine interaction, to design methods for user model, interaction framework, visual interface, and to input output design.
Students also have an opportunity to deepen the understanding of the design method by applying it for an assignment on designing a software that provides public bus service status information. Students are required to make a presentation about the result of the software designing assignment in a class.
[Learning activities outside of classroom]
The review and the preparation of each lesson will take 4 hours. How to use MATLAB should be learnt by students themselves by mainly using web and with the help form the staff at the software center for the setting related things.
[Grading Criteria /Policy]
Grade is determined 40% by the submission of an assignment for each lesson and 60% by the evaluation of the presentation regarding the software designing assignment.
