Outline (in English)
< Course outline >
The purpose of this course is to provide the theories of radiation from various antennas and propagation through dielectric waveguides.
< Learning objectives >
By the end of the course, students are expected to acquire the following skills:
- Understanding of various functional devices in optical communications
- Knowledge of optical communication devices, including the multiplexer, switch, polarization rotator, and wavelength filter
< Learning activities outside of classroom >
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content. Moreover, additional work is expected in case the report is assigned as homework.
< Grading Criteria >
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
Term-end oral examination: 50%、in class contribution: 50%.

放射および電磁波伝送を学ぶ。

アンテナと伝送線路に於ける電界と磁界の定式化に習熟する。

情報伝送解析法と電磁波情報解析法とを併用して、放射伝送問題を考察する。演習をまじえながらゼミナール形式で授業を進めていく。

text内に現れる方程式を詳述する。Intrinsic impedanceについての物理。

Intrinsic impedanceについて演習する。

Bloch impedancceについての物理と解釈。

Metamaterial とは何か。metamaterial antenna設計の基礎を学ぶ。

２線の線状アンテナの帯域と広帯域化についての技術。

Fast wave についての物理。下限周波数と上限周波数の出し方。
第13回[オンライン/online]：分散特性
分散特性とFast wave についての関係。漏洩アンテナの原理について。
第14回[オンライン/online]：前方放射と後方放射
Back radiationとForward radiation の生成法。
