Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
This subject is one of the applied subjects of mechanical engineering and is intended for students who have studied mechanical engineering and learns the basics of numerical calculation methods and the finite element method. In addition, in order to broaden the perspective of mechanical engineering and stimulate interest in future study and research, lectures will be given on actual engineering topics that cannot be heard in university lectures.
【Learning Objectives】
Through this lecture, I will give a lecture on what is required of mechanical engineers as professionals in the world. Through these activities, students develop the ability to apply their basic knowledge of mechanical engineering.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
It seems that it is not possible to understand all the contents of the lecture and to establish that understanding in class time alone. It is necessary to review and prepare for classes (2 hours each). Related keywords are shown in the "Lesson plan" column, so prepare for those keywords and clarify items that you do not understand. In addition, after the lecture, students will reread the text as a review and do exercises to consolidate their understanding.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Evaluation method:
Evaluation is based on a total of 10 mini-test (40%) and a final-exam (60%).
・Mini test (10 times in total): Weight 40%
10 points per session, total 100 points
At the end of the lecture, ask questions and collect them.
・Final test: Weight 60%
Out of 100 points
Evaluation criteria:
The total score 0f 60 or more out of 100 is considered acceptable.
