Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
The Dissertation Workshop is intended for doctoral students in the department of business administration who are in the process of writing a doctoral dissertation. Each student will prepare a dissertation research proposal and hold a presentation at colloquium. Research proposals are examined and assessed by supervisors and judged whether required step is cleared or not.
(Learning objectives)
The student is required to submit a "Research that corresponds to the overall concept and main part (chapter) of the doctoral dissertation", which is Step 3 of the doctoral dissertation, and to submit a report based on this thesis.
For the writing of a superior dissertation, you will be able to learn a lot from the advice and comments from your instructor and sub-instructor, as well as those of other faculties, graduate students, and participants through Q and A sessions.
The doctoral dissertation must include at least one paper that has been published (or is scheduled to be published) in a peer-reviewed journal or equivalent. If the thesis is co-authored, a document certifying that the primary author of the thesis is the person submitting the doctoral thesis must be submitted.

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
The students will systematically and steadily prepare for the interim report by presenting their research at academic conferences as well as doctoral exercises and submitting papers to peer-reviewed academic journals. After the interim report, the students will organize advice and criticisms from faculty members and graduate students, and provide feedback to improve the dissertation.

(Grading criteria)
Grading will be decided by deliberation in the faculty meeting of the Graduate School of Business Administration based on the evaluation assessed by your main instructor, sub instructor, and the dean considering submitted papers, qualities of presentation, responses in Q and A sessions, and others.
Successful applicants given higher than A-(A minus) credit will be entitled to submit a doctoral dissertation.
Note that students who passed the Dissertation Workshop ⅢA examination do not have to take Dissertation Workshop ⅢB.
