Outline (in English)

Financial globalization has had a significant impact on the world economy in the modern era. The knowledge of international finance is essential for understanding the modern world economy. This lecture deals with the institutions, history and reality of international finance, whereas Advanced Theory of International Finance I dealt with theory. The aim of this lecture is to enable students to consider the issues of international finance that are mentioned in the daily news through knowledge of the institutional and historical background of international finance. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each. Students are expected to read Masao Yokouchi's "International Finance I" in advance and participate in the lecture. Grades will be based on a comprehensive evaluation, taking into account the degree of participation and contribution during the class, in addition to reports.
