Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
In this course, students will learn how to analyze business firms using financial statements. After learning how to read financial statements, students will learn financial ratios to understand the underlying corporate characteristics. In addition, the basic stock valuation models will be explained in order to promote understanding of the theoretical relationship between financial ratios and shareholder value.

(Learning Objectives)
By the end of the course, students are expected to do the following:
1.Understand financial statements in relation to corporate activities
2.Understand and utilize financial ratios
3. To understand how financial ratios relate to shareholder value

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Students are required to read the relevant chapter of the textbook before class and to review the contents after class. Students study and review time for this class are 2 hours each.

(Grading Criteria)
Grades will be based on presentation (50%) and submission (50%) of the term paper.
