Outline (in English)
(Course outline) In this course we read together fundamental articles or books, which influenced on Japanese modern history of legal thoughts.
(Learning Objectives) Students select them as from their own research plans and report and discuss with participants.
(Learning activities outside of classroom) Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant chapter(s) from the text and resumes. Your required study time is at least four hours for each class meeting.
(Grading Criteria/ Policy) Grading will be decided based on reports (80%), and the quality of the students’ performance in the discussion (20%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
この授業は、各コースの基礎となるものであり、法律学の学問的視野を広める土台となることを目的としている。対象はドイツ法・政治であり、関連するドイツ語文献を読んでみる。なお、ドイツ語未修者でも履修できる。
到達目標Goal
法学や政治学の基本概念である「正義」Gerechtigkeitを、思想史の中で理解する。思想や社会の歴史的な背景に配慮しながら、それぞれの時代での理解・転換を跡づける。各自ドイツ語の文献に挑戦し、授業の中で文献の内容を理解できるようになる。未修者は自分で辞書を引きながら調べられるようになる。

授業の進め方と方法Method(s)（学期の途中で変更になる場合には、別途提示します。 /If the Method(s) is changed, we will announce the details of any changes. ）
毎回一頁ほどのペースで、テキストの輪読を行う。参加者の習熟に合わせて増減する。各回の「予定」は外国書講読2とあわせてテキストの目次をもとに、内容を紹介しているので、関心があるところを探しておいてほしい。予習復習は4時間程度。
対面授業が難しい場合には、zooomを用いて実施する。テクストは授業支援システムで配布する。語学そのものというより、内容理解と背景の確認ができるように。質問は学習支援システム、授業内で受け付け、応答する。なお、学部の類似授業との乗り入れで実施する。
「1」からの継続となるが、「2」からの履修も可。

事前の予習。文法的な問題だけでなく、内容について日本語の文献を参考にしながら、できるだけ自分で調べておく。授業外では、毎週4時間程度の予習・復習をする。
テキスト（教科書）Textbooks
Gert Melville, Gregor Vogt-Spira, Mirko Breitenstein (Hg.), Gerechtichkeit, Boehlau, 2014. 該当箇所を配布する予定。なお上の内容の他、イスラムに関する章がある。Gerechtigkeit und Vollkommenheit der irdischen Verhaeltnisse in islamischer Sicht.

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
平常点と「努力点」70＋30％
平常点は、各回での参加度合い。努力点とは、参加者それぞれで出発点が違うので、初回と比べて最終回までにどれだけ理解度が増したか、を基準とする。
