Outline (in English)
The History of education, in the relationship of politics, economy, society family. Some basic concepts of education, some educational thoughts.
Active learning; group discussion about today’s educational issues.
Since education is a daily activity, we casually think and talk in the familiar words we use every day. However, there are thinkers and theorists who tried to clarify the essence of education through fundamental consideration of the meaning of such words- "development," "individuality," "education," "school," "teacher," "family," "children," "knowledge," "understanding," etc. What do they say?
Also, we tend to think of existing education as "natural", but it is not "natural:" when we may ask "why?" looking at education in the past time, we usually don’t think it as "natural". What does this mean?
In this class, you will accurately acquire the basic concepts of education and understand the essence and ideals of education in relation to historical, social, and ideological changes. Through this work, you will develop your ability to delve deeply into actual education and school activities.
When creating presentations and reports, it is essential to cite academic technical books (including educational history) and fieldwork related to the theme, so we will select them. The method etc. will be explained in the class. In addition, instruct preparatory learning in advance according to the theme of the lesson. The standard preparatory study and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
Evaluate whether you understand the basic concepts of pedagogy and use them to think about the problems of education.
Evaluate with 40% reflection sheet and 60% report (or presentation).
In order to develop practical skills, learn methods such as task setting, survey, analysis, consideration, and presentation using the method of PBL (Project Based Learning) through dialogue.
Since "independent, interactive and deep learning (active learning)" is one of the pillars of the course of study, we will use group work, fieldwork, and presentations to proceed practically. Therefore, the [Class Plan] below is just a model case, and will be flexibly reconstructed according to the degree of understanding of the students and the progress of the dialogue.

授業の概要
教育の諸問題は私たちが生きている今ここで起こっている現実であることから、書籍やネットなど閉じた媒体のみに学ぶのではなく、生身の人間、動いている世の中から発掘すべきである。そこで、授業では学生諸君と担当教員、ゲスト・スピーカーとの対話、そして教育現場へのフィールドワークから「教育とは何か」「問題点は何か」「いかに改革すべきか」などを考察してもらう。また「主体的・対話的で深い学び（アクティブ・ラーニング）」の意義を学び、指導のための資質能力を身につけることを目的としている。
ZOOM接続先、課題等はHoppii学習支援システムで告知するので定期的に確認すること。
到達目標Goal
教育の基本的諸概念、教育に関する歴史及び思想を踏まえ、教員・同学及び専門家との対話や教育現場への取材を通して、現在の教育を知り、自分自身の“教育原理”を探究する。具体的には教員として、あるいは社会人としての知識のみならず、意識とスキルの向上を目指す。

実践力育成のため、対話による PBL(Project Based Learning)の手法を用いて、課題設定・調査・分析・考察・発表等の方法を学ぶ。
学習指導要領で「主体的・対話的で深い学び(アクティブ・ラーニング)」が1 つの柱となることから、グループワーク、フィールドワーク、プレゼンテー ションを用い、実践的に進めていく。従って下の【授業計画】は、あくまでもモデルケースであり、学生の理解度、対話の進捗によって柔軟に再構築していく。
リアクションペーパー等におけるコメントは授業内で紹介し、さらなる議論に活かす。 新型コロナウィイルスの感染状況による変更も含め、授業の課題 等、詳細については、「学習支援システム」を通じて告知する。
大学行動方針レベルが２となった場合、この授業は原則としてオンラインで行う。詳細は学習支援システムで伝達する。

プレゼンテーション、レポートの作成にあたってはテーマに関連した学術的専門書（教育史を含む）の引用とフィールドワークを必須とするので、その選定をおこなう。方法等については授業内で説明する。その他、授業のテーマに合わせて事前に準備学習を指示する。本授業の準備学習・復習時間は各2時間を標準とします。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
教育学の基本的な諸概念を理解しているか、それを用いて、教育の諸問題について考察する力がついているかを毎回の「100字以上省察」：40％、レポート（またはプレゼンテーション）：60％で評価を行う。

コミュニケーション等のスキルは、1回、2回では身につかないので、発展的要素を加えながら、各回に実践の場を設ける。

授業形態は、基本的には対面であるが、グループワーク等の対話を実施するので、感染状況によってはオンラインとする場合もある。
