Outline (in English)

Course outline
In our society, many people live by working and earning wages through employment. In order to be able to live a sustainable social life with an eye on the future, it is necessary to create an appropriate working environment.
However, since workers have less power than employers, they face a variety of difficulties if appropriate laws and regulations are not in place. Labor law is a branch of jurisprudence that prevents such difficulties and imposes various regulations so that human beings can live like human beings.
In this class, students who have never been exposed to jurisprudence are expected to (1) acquire basic knowledge of jurisprudence and (2) be able to explain recent issues surrounding the working environment based on this knowledge.

Learning Objectives
(1) Acquire basic legal knowledge of the working environment and be able to answer questions equivalent to the beginner's level of the Work Rule Examination.
(2) To be able to explain recent issues surrounding the working environment based on the basic knowledge.

Learning activities outside of classroom
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

Grading Criteria /Policy
A quiz will be given to measure the achievement goal (1), and a final exam will be given to measure the achievement goal (2).
Quiz: 30% (fill-in-the-blank questions/choice-type questions to measure the level of retention of basic knowledge)
Final exam: 70% (to assess whether students can explain the structure of labor law through explanatory questions)
