Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
The practice theme is “Invitation to Sociology: Doubt Your Common Sense!”
Upon obtaining basic sociological viewpoints and way of thinking, students cultivate individual ability to sociologically analyze themes they are personally interested in.
As long as the discourse is based on sociological views and ideas (which are covered in textbook-based lessons), students may choose their own themes for seminar essays and graduation theses.

(Learning Objectives)
The goals of this course are to A, B, and C.

-A. Explaining the basic viewpoints and ideas on sociology and applying them to the particular cases.
-B. Explaining the problems by the deep understandings of various human relationships and social phenomena in the community.
-C. Completing seminar essays and graduation theses with the certain standards in quantity and quality.

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
You will be expected to prepare the presentation by deepen consideration with gleaning literature and data.
Your study time will be more than two hours each for before and after the classes.

(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Seminar essay Graduation thesis : 50%, in class contribution: 50%
