Outline (in English)

This course deals with families, parent and children, and partners. We see many family problems in this society such as abuse, domestic violence, marriage before child-birth, anxiety of child-rearing, marital discord, divorce, too late marriage, and old-age divorce. We learn these problems through many ways
(e.g., discussion, paper-reading, analyses, surveys, interviews). Learning objectives of this course are to understand students themselves and others, to design their careers regarding family life and to get research methodology skills. Learning activities outside of classroom are homework and preparation (about 2 hours per class). Grading criteria are composed of class participation 50% and homework 50%.
