Outline (in English)

The theme of this seminar is British/Irish studies mainly from the perspectives of sociology and culture studies. Students consider issues of multi-cultural coexistence—how people of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds facing difficulties have tackled the issues to solve various social problems in order to create a better civil society.
This course is also designed to develop research and writing skills (finding sources, learning citation styles, and critical reading and writing skills).

Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend at least four hours to understand the course content.
