【授業の概要（Course outline）】
Seminar on Educational policy, management,and administration

【到達目標（Learning Objectives）】
Students will develop their understanding on issues relating to education policy, management, and administration to prepare for the third and fourth year of study.Students will learn critical thinking and build academic skills through presentations, discussions and report writing.

【授業時間外の学習（Learning activities outside of classroom）】
All students, not just the presenter, are required to read the literature in advance.
Students are expected to prepare for the presentation and revise their presentations based on feedback.
Studens’ study time will be more than two hours for a class

【成績評価の方法と基準（Grading Criteria /Policy）】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
Presentations: 50%, Contribution to discussion: 50%

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives

テーマを「教育改革の社会学」とし、国・自治体・学校・民間団体などによって進められる様々な教育改革について、広い社会的視野と、事実に依拠して検証するための基礎的な考え方・見方を学ぶ演習とする。
　
具体的には、卒論に向け、学校経営、教育行政、教育制度、教育政策などに関わる課題について、専門的な理解を深める。また、プレゼンテーション、議論、レポートの作成を通じて、社会科学的なものの見方や、アカデミックスキルを養う。

到達目標Goal

身近な教育問題を、学校経営、教育行政、教育制度、教育政策などの領域で用いられる概念や視角と関わりあわせながら理解し、説明できるようになること。
自らの問題関心を明確にし、言語化できるようにすること。

①共通の文献をもとに、担当者が作成したレポートに基づくプレゼンを行い、全員でディスカッションする。また、②自身の設定したテーマについてのミニ研究発表を行う。受講生は、①②について1回ずつは発表担当を担うものとする。
