Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
In this lecture, a research and development producer of Makuake, who has been involved in the birth of many innovative new products and services together with various companies, will be the lecturer. He will explain the general product development process and challenges that may arise. The course will mainly cover the common elements of successful products, tips for marketing such products, and methods showing the demand for unprecedented product ideas and how to gain a foothold in the business world through hands-on experience.

【Learning Objectives】
The objective of this lecture is to understand the process and key points of how to produce innovative products and efficiently develop them into a business.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are encouraged to read newspapers, magazines, and use the Internet on a regular basis. This will help make connections about the process of creating successful products, and understanding what happens behind-the-scenes. Also, please spend two hours before every lecture preparing and reviewing ahead.

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
The grading will be based on the following percentage: Web-based periodic exam (60%), Product idea assignment (20%), Product test sales assignment (20%).
The total score for the grading is 100 points, and a score of 60 points or higher is considered passing.
