Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
In this course, students will learn about the mechanisms for the functional provision of information services by libraries, such as digital archives, which preserve valuable information resources for a long period of time and make them available to many people through the Internet.

【Learning Objectives】
In this course, students are expected to use computers to actually compare and examine network information resources such as OPACs, databases, and digital archives to deepen their understanding.
At the end of the course,students expected to acquire the information literacy as a librarian.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are required to spend
at least two hours for each class meeting.Everyweek on the Hoppi,students are required to complete weekly
assignments.


【Grading Criteria】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following.
1) Weekly short reports:70%
2) Term-end report:30%
Grades will be decided based on the contents of weekly assignments.
3)Evaluation criteria
・Ability to explain the characteristics of network information resources such as digital archives.
・Ability to explain information technology assuming users with special needs.
・Ability to operate information devices in order to create reports.
