Outline (in English)
【Course outline】
In this class, students will understand how to use quantitative surveys to measure human behavior and attitudes. Specifically, the course will focus on data related to education, family, and community, and will cover the procedures and analysis methods used to conduct surveys and how to effectively summarize the results.
【Learning Objectives】
(1) Clarify the awareness of a problem and formulate a hypothesis.
(2) Learn how to search for previous research and use existing data.
(3) Learn how to create, conduct, and analyze a simple questionnaire survey.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than two hours for a class.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process report (50%), presentation of results (20%), and in-class contribution（30%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
量的調査によって人間の行動と意識を測定するための方法を理解する。具体的には教育や家族、地域に関連したデータを題材として、アンケート調査を行う際の手順や分析方法、効果的な結果のまとめ方について学ぶ。
到達目標Goal
（１）問題意識を明確化し、仮説やリサーチ・クエッションをたてることができ
る。
（２）先行研究の探し方、既存データの利用方法などを学ぶ。
（３）簡単なアンケート調査の作成、実施、分析の手順を習得する。

官庁統計や2次分析等で使用することができるデータアーカイブについて紹介する。
第3回[対面/face to face]：尺度
名義尺度、順序尺度、間隔尺度、比例尺度など、尺度の特徴を確認する。
第4回[対面/face to face]：度数分布
都道府県別の大学数などを求め、度数分布表および度数分布図を作成する。
第5回[対面/face to face]：代表値
学力テストデータを用いて、平均値、中央値、最頻値、偏差値などを求める。
第6回[対面/face to face]：散布図と相関
学力や大学進学に影響を与えると考える要因を検討し、2変数の関係を検討する。
第7回[対面/face to face]：結果の可視化
第4回~第6回で得られた結果を効果的な図や表にする。
第8回[対面/face to face]：結果報告会
これまでの結果について報告する。
第9回[対面/face to face]：心理尺度
満足度、幸福度など見えないものを測定するための方法について理解する。

作成したい心理尺度に類似した尺度を調べる。

簡単な心理尺度を作成する。
第12回[対面/face to face]：調査の実施
作成した心理尺度を用いて調査を実施する。
第13回[対面/face to face]：アンケート分析
仮説に基づいてアンケート分析を行う。

分析結果を報告する。
