Outline (in English)

Students will learn basic knowledge to grasp disparities and inequalities by focusing on the relationship between education, schools, and social structures. The goals of this course are to understand how "questions" are made about social phenomena, to understand the differences in their positions, to be able to use group work in collaboration with others as learning opportunities, to be able to search for and use appropriate government statistical data, and to understand that what you think is good can have unintended consequences. Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant chapters from the text. Your required study time is at least four hours for each class meeting. The grading of this course will be based on some submissions and contribution in class (50%), and term-end examination in the classroom (50%).
