Outline (in English)

Organization of information resources is essential to accurately provide the information resources requested by library users. The organization of information resources can be roughly divided into descriptive cataloging methods for describing data related to information resources according to a fixed method, and taxonomy and subject matter methods for analyzing and expressing the contents of information resources. In this class, students will learn the usefulness of information resource organization and its theoretical background, as well as the basics of cataloging, taxonomy, subject matter, and trends in new cataloging methods.
