Outline (in English)

■Course outline
Based on the overall sport policies in Japan, the current situation and issues related to themes of your interest, students will engage in sport policy proposals. Through policy proposals, the course helps students understand the importance of socially needed and evidence-based policy making and implementation, as well as acquire the ability of logical thinking.

■Learning Objectives
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
(1) To be able to set up socially important problems and issues based on an understanding of the overall sport policy in Japan and the current status and issues related to sport policy on specific themes.
(2) To be able to formulate hypotheses for solving the above issues, and to design social research and their analyses by yourself in order to test the hypotheses.
(3) Based on the results and discussions revealed through the above process, be able to make proposals for the solution of sport policy and related issues.
