Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
This class will be conducted to make students to understand the significance and effect of physical activity deeply.
Therefore, by the end of the course, students should be able to do the following:
Improve properly learning and attitude about physical, mental and social health necessary throughout the students’ future of life.
Concretely, we will educate to maintain and promote their own health, to acquire important knowledge to self health care, and to develop attitudes for that.
In addition, students are expected to follow the lecture's instructions in charge of the class regarding assignments to be done after class and pre parations for the next class.
【Learning Objectives】
The aim of this course is to deepen the sports policy in our country and to analyse the students' physical fitness, training, posture, movement, body composition, ageing, lifestyle-related diseases, nutrition and diet so that they can change their behaviour to improve their health in the future.
The following are the objectives of the classes in each field.
1. Guidance and common classes
(01) Understand how to proceed with the class
(02) To be able to set personal goals for maintaining and improving one's health
(03) To be able to measure physical fitness and consider changes in conditions
(04) Able to communicate proactively.
2. Sports and physical fitness A (Improvement of dynamic function...training methods)
(05) To be able to use a training center appropriately
(06) Effective training machines
3. Sports and Health
07) Understand gender differences and the physical fitness required in young and old age from the perspective of preventing sports injuries
08) Understand nutrition, diet and exercise from the perspective of lifestyle-related disease prevention
09) Describe the risks of infectious diseases during sports activities
10) Understand the effects of stress and stress management
4. Sports and Physical Fitness B (Improvement of static function...posture and movement)
(11) To learn about the structure of standing posture and understand the characteristics and problems of one's own posture
(12) To increase awareness of one's own body through movement tasks that consciously manipulate the pelvis, spine, and shoulders
(13) To understand the effects of consciously facing one's own body on one's physical and mental health
5. sport and policy
14) Understand national sports policy and related legislation and plans
15) Understand the organisations and tasks involved in national and municipal sports policy
16) Understand the key points in advancing policy through work on the policy process
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Learning activities outside of classroom are before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
【Grading Criteria/Policy】
Grading criteria of final grade will be calculated according to the following process term-end examination (20%), Participation in
class activities and class attitude and short reports in-class (80%).
