Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
In this course, we will take up cases involving human life and way of life in legal issues and examine them. The aim of this course is to help students develop a fundamental perspective and thinking ability to analyze social issues from a philosophical perspective on the human condition and way of life.
(Learning Objectives)
At the end of this course, students are expected to grasp the relationship between the legal system and human life or ways of life, and to understand the conflicting positions and ideas therein.
In addition, the goal is for students to be able to present their ideas from a philosophical perspective on a rational basis in response to specific issues in contemporary society.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Final grade will be decided basen on essay assignment (80%) and submitted comments in class (20%).
