Outline (in English)

What kind of beings are we human beings? How should we understand the world around us and God as its origin? Christianity has a rich intellectual heritage in these questions of existence. This class will study this intellectual heritage from the point of view of faith (believing) and reason (knowing). This class also aims (1) to deepen understanding of Christian doctrine and its historical development, (2) to better understand the philosophical concepts closely related to Christianity, (3) to understand the influence of Christianity on politics, economics, society, and culture (art, liberal studies, etc.). Grading criteria: (1) Assignment evaluation each time, and (2) Final report at the end of the semester. Students' performance will be evaluated comprehensively, with 50% for (1) and 50% for (2). In the preparations, Students should read the relevant sections of the textbook related to the class. Students should also use reference books to understand the meaning of technical terms, etc. (2 hours).
