Outline (in English)
For each topic covered, the students will learn the vocabulary and grammar to equip them to express their opinions, participate in short discussions, and write up typed summaries of their discussions in email messages or memos.

The goal of the course is to develop the student's English communication skills for a variety of situations encountered in business.
到達目標Goal
This course aims to develop the student's vocabulary and ability to discuss key business concepts and engage in realistic problem solving discussions. Topics such as service, productivity, creativity, and motivation will be covered in the course. Special emphasis will be placed on vocabulary, listening and speaking skills. After group discussions, the students will be required write short memos or email messages to communicate what their groups have decided in written form.

Students will study business communication skills and practice these by engaging in pair work, group work, and discussion/problem solving activities. Students will also
present group discussion results in class. Some brief written assignments will also be given as homework as a follow up to the group discussions.
Feedback on submitted assignments and quizzes will be given at the beginning of the following class.

Course grades will be based on the following components:

Homework from textbook or handouts-20%

Unit ending discussions & written summaries (typed)-15%
In principle, no more than three absences per term are allowed.
