Students in this course consider how some images of modern Britain and the stereotypical image of British nationality are formed and work in the present world through various English materials from authorized publications, news articles, columns on online journals to YouTube, movies and other video clips. The main text of this course is "Realise Britain", an Essay about British Culture and Society written by a British foreign correspondent who lived overseas (Japan and the US) for 17 years.
