Outline (in English)

We are going to have lessons by Zoom according to the schedule. We are going to use the Zoom every time. We are going to watch the CBS News Break and study English in Journalism at the natural speed, mainly by reading comprehensions, shadowing, expressing opinions, and debating. We are requested to read critically and not believe the news blindly. We are supposed to check the fact individually and build up our own opinions and present our opinions both in Japanese and in English. We are going to study the four skills of English by reading, listening, writing, and speaking. We study both the input and output concerning English. We are going to read various topics, concerning our daily lives. We are going to use the Zoom system to communicate with each other. We are also going to use the Learning Support System to hand in reports and tests. The teacher will check every reports and give grades from S, A+, A, A-, to C- (ten grades).We are going to write our opinions on the classroom board of the Learning Support System or during the Zoom lessons. We are going to study both the rapid reading and close reading. We are supposed to read between the lines and understand the author's feelings closely. We also leaern the paragraph readings. Every student is requested to watch the news beforehand (stream watching)and study the new words and idioms before the lesson. Students are requested to make clear what they don't understand before they join the Zoom lessons and ask as many questions as possible to study effectively. Every student is supposed to spend one hour at the minimum before the lessons. The teacher will give students the relevant URLs to check the fact and build students' opinions before the lessons begin on the Learning Support System.【成績評価の方法と基準（Grading Criteria /Policy）】We need the attendances to our Zoom lessons at least 11 times. The absence from our lessons are allowed only three times. If the students are absent from our Zoom lessons more than four times, he/she cannot be given any school grades. The final report test of the fall semester 40％, The word tests 10%, the mini tests 10％, homework 10％、presentations 10％、the active opinion expressions 10%, and the contributions to the lessons 10％, on the total of 100％.
