Outline (in English)

Objectives of this class are to acquire the ability to collect necessary information from various information, and to process the collected information to original form, an to process them to other people. In Spring Semester, themes of this class are, typing, Japanese input, overview of the Internet, basic knowledge of computer, computer ethics, theory of information science.

Each student is expected to prepare and review the textbook before and after the class.
If assignments are given, do them in time for the deadline, and submit them according to the instructions on the learning support system.
It is also recommended to do the exercises and end-of-chapter problems in the textbook that are not assigned, if you have time. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

Distribution.
10% of normal score, 70% of report, 20% of touch typing test
Evaluation Criteria
Ordinary points will be evaluated based on class participation. If you are absent more than four times, your grade will be capped at B. If you are absent more than six times, your grade will be capped at E.
Reports will be evaluated on the appropriateness of content and expression.
The touch-typing test will be graded on the amount and accuracy of the typed text.
