Outline (in English)

This seminar will study microeconomics and game theory and then apply them to analyze economic policies and institutions. This year, after learning the basics of microeconomics and game theory, we will consider several topics on public economics as examples of economic policies and institutions.

Each student will set a research theme, conduct research based on microeconomics and game theory, and report the results of their research once each in the spring and fall semesters. The most important goal is to understand microeconomics and game theory and then to acquire the ability to analyze problems in modern economic society. Students must prepare and review for this class for at least four hours per week. Grading will be based on ordinary points (60%) and reports and assignments in the seminar (40%).
