Outline (in English)

The aim of this course is deepen understanding of the formation of Japanese life culture.It is formed from the Muromachi period to the early modern period. This course deals with these period. Through activities that discuss several themes related to cultural history, students will be expected to have historical recognition methods that make sense based on facts.Students must submit a short paper for each assignment. Final grade will be calculated by the arithmetic mean of each test(100%). Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
