Outline (in English)

In the spring semester the course focuses on obligation law which mainly emerges from contracts. Students also learn about law of obligation which involves tort and unjust enrichment in the absence of any contractual relationships. In the autumn semester the course focuses on obligation law which mainly emerges from contracts of financial services. The purpose of the course is to introduce you to the general principles of the Japanese Civil Code, paying close attention to their functions in the Market.
Before/after each class, students will be expected to spend 2 hours each to understand the course content.
Grading will be decided based on Homework:30% and Final report:70%.
