Outline (in English)
【Course Outline】Students will be engaged in tasks and exercises not only in the textbook but also in some other materials so that they can improve their listening/writing as well as their presentation skills.
【Learning Objectives】Students are expected to reach a proficiency level where they can express their own opinion in English.
【Learning Activities Outside of Classroom】Besides preparing content materials in the textbook, students must write a short essay for the presentation. The average time to prepare for each class will be about four hours.
【Grading Criteria Policy】Grades will be decided according to the following three criteria;1) term exam(50%), 2) presentation(30%), 3) class participation(20%).

問題演習を通して、リスニングの技術を身につける。またプレゼンテーションに必要な技術を身につける。
到達目標Goal
リスニングについてはTOEFLiBT のリスニングセクションで15点がとれる程度の英語力が身につくようにする。プレゼンテーションについては原稿を見ないで発表できるようにする。

コース全体を通して英米の映画を題材とした授業を行う。授業の前半ではテキスト（英語総合教材）を使用し、リスニング演習を中心に授業を行う。後半ではプリントを使用し、ディクテーションやロールプレーなどの演習を行う。プレゼンテーションはグループ単位で行い、各グループごとに良かった点や反省点などの評価を口頭でフィードバックする。

授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
本授業の準備学習・復習時間は、各2時間を標準とします。予習として、授業で扱う英文を読み、単語や文法を確認し、演習問題に取り組むことが必要です。また既習レッスンを復習して下さい。また第13回目の授業では受講者にグループ単位でプレゼンテーションをしてもらいます。そのための事前準備が必要となります。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
平常点20点（授業への取り組み）、プレゼンテーション30点、定期試験50点の100点満点で評価します。

実際に使える英語を身につけたい、あるいは TOEFLやTOEICなどの試験対策をしたい、という要望が多かったので、できるだけ受講者の要望に沿った授業内容にしたいと思います。
