Outline (in English)

This class is based on the following four objectives (Purpose).

Purpose 1 : To acquire English skills required in the real world
→ Students aim to break away from studing for study's sake and conventionalism, and acquire skills that are truly practical.

Purpose 2 : To acquire the communication and interpersonal skills required in any organization
→ Students will engage in group and pair work to learn how to communicate respectfully with others and to be responsible adults, and this English class is offered as a a place where they make friends to spend their university life together.

Purpose 3 : To learn how to use the digital tools necessary for modern learning
→ Students try to understand and practice the use of visual, audio, translation, and other tools for future study and employment. In addition, they try to achieve autonomous progress monitoring and efficiency in the use of digital tools.

Purpose 4 : Focus not only on English but also on content to deepen students' understanding of economic, business, and environmental issues.
→ Student are encouraged to accumulate knowledge of current hot topics in society and the world by studying the latest materials selected by the instructor from English newspapers and Youtube videos, rather than relying on existing textbooks.
