Outline (in English)

In this course, students develop the following basic skills for academic success:
(1) searching and collecting research materials, including English materials
(2) critical and systematic reading of collected literature
(3) academic writing skills
(4) academic presentation skills
*This course is designed for both semesters (A/B).

Students will learn how to use the campus library, take notes, write academic reports, give presentations, and debate.

This course requires that students study about four hours a week outside of class. (Your private study includes class preparation and weekly readings and assignments to be submitted by the set deadline)

Class contribution and participation: 40%
Weekly assignments (resume, summary, report, presentation): 60%
Students are expected to submit all assignments by the set deadlines and to be familiar with each class schedule.
