Outline (in English)

Course outline:
This course introduces fundamental knowledge on ecology.Ecology is the study of the interactions between living organisms and their environment.Understanding ecology allows us to understand how ecosystems function, how species coexist and compete with each other.


Learning Objectives:
The goals of this course are to understand how organisms interact with each other and with their environment, and to apply the knowledge into city planning, infrastructure design, disaster risk reduction etc.


Learning activities outside of classroom:
Your required study time is at least one hour for each class.



Grading Criteria /Policies:
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on Mid-term examination: 30%, Term-end report : 40%, and in class contribution: 30%.
