Outline (in English)

In this subject, students will learn what it means to do research. Research begins with finding a problem. We think about how to solve the problem, create a program, process it, and solve the set problem. Further problems will arise in the process. We aim for the final solution by analyzing them and understanding the essence of the problems. The results obtained during the research period may not be always the results that you originally expected. In that case, consider why the expected results did not happen and use it in the next study. More specifically, you decide the theme you are interested in (problem setting), decide how to solve the problem, create a program, get the processing result, and whether it is the originally planned one. Consideration is the theme of this project.
Students can decide own theme based on their interests (problem finding ability), make programming their own (programming ability), acquire problem-solving ability, and acquire presentation ability (communication ability in a broad sense). Since there is not enough time, students are expected to proceed with the processing at their own home (4 hours a week is the standard for outside classroom learning). Students’ scores are measured based on attitude to attend class (20%), report quality (50%), and presentation technique (30%). Please note that those who are absent three times or more without notice will be rejected at that time.
