Outline (in English)
This class is aimed at studying the automobile (or mobility) industry, which is the core industry of the world and has been rapidly evolving recently, and its notable companies, using Japanese lecture materials and English homework. You can learn the advanced trends of CASE strategy (Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Service, Electric) and improve reading, listening and speaking skills in English, and discussion skills in Japanese. Getting in touch with the latest technologies and services of the automobile industry and English skills, you can deepen knowledge and thinking that will be useful during job seeking and after getting a job at a company or a teacher.
Preparatory learning is a Japanese translation (summary) of pre-distributed English papers and videos. You should review the teacher’s lecture materials and homework.
Comprehensive evaluation will be made based on n class contribution, homework, and presentation.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
本授業は、世界の中核産業であり最近の変革が著しい自動車（モビリティ）産業とその中の注目企業を対象に、日本語での教師による講義資料、英語での宿題を使用し、クルマのCASE戦略（つながるクルマConnected、自動運転Autonomous、シェアリング・サービスShared & Service、電動車Electric）の先端動向を学びます。同時に基礎レベルながら、実際にビジネスの現場や海外生活でも役立つ英語のリーディング、ヒアリング、スピーキング、そして日本語でのディスカッション能力の向上をはかります。こうした勉強を通じて、就活の際や社会人・教師になってからも役立つ知見やものの見方を習得することを目指します。
準備学習は、宿題が出された時の英語の資料や動画の日本語訳などです。復習は、講義資料と宿題のレビューです。
評価は、各回の講義への出席、宿題、講義での発表などにより総合的に評価します。
到達目標Goal
理解力：教師による日本語でのCASE戦略の講義を一定程度理解する。
読む力：日本語のビジネス文書・図表を正しく理解する。英語のビジネス文書を正しく理解し、要点を日本語で整理することを目指す。
聞く力：英語のニュース動画を大まかに把握し、日本語で整理する力を身につける。
書く力：授業で学習した内容をもとに日本語や英語のビジネス文書を作成することを目指す。
話す力：初級のビジネス英会話を実践する。
Comprehension ability: Students will understand to some extent the teacher's lecture on CASE strategy in Japanese.
Reading ability: You aim to understand Japanese business documents and business English correctly, and summarize the points in Japanese.
Listening ability: Students will acquire the ability to roughly grasp the explanation of English news videos and summarize the points in Japanese.
Writing ability: You aim to write Japanese and English business documents based on what you learn in the class.
Speaking ability: Students will acquire the skills of introductory English conversation.

授業は、教師による日本語でのＣＡＳＥ戦略に関する講義（技術戦略も含む）を中心に実施します。宿題が与えられた時は、学生は講義前までに「課題」フォルダーに提出、講義では数名が英語で発表を行います。
講義資料や動画はAutomotive News 、教師執筆のレポート、専門研究者の論文、日本経済新聞、マークラインズ社のデータベース、日経XTechなどから引用します。
第一回講義で、授業の進め方と評価などについてオリエンテーションを行いますので、受講希望者は必ず出席してください。
In the class, the teacher gives lecture about “CASE” including technical strategy in Japanese. When homework is given, students have to upload it to an assignment folder and several students should present it in English in the class.
Materials and videos are quoted from Automotive News, reports written by the teacher or other researchers, Nikkei Newspaper, database of Marklines Co., Ltd, Nikkei XTech, etc.
In the first lecture, students will be given an orientation on the class, so please be sure to attend if you wish to take the class.

準備学習は、宿題が出された時の英語の資料や動画の日本語訳などです。復習は、講義資料と宿題のレビューです。準備学習と復習の時間は各2時間を標準とします。
Preparatory study is a Japanese translation (summary) of pre-distributed English papers and videos. You should review the teacher’s lecture materials and homework. The standard time for preparatory study and review is two hours each.

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
評価は、平常点（50%）、宿題の内容（35%）、講義での発表と質疑（15%）などにより総合的に評価します。
Comprehensive evaluation will be made based on in class contribution(50%), homework(35%) and presentation/Q&As(15%), etc.

担当教師はトヨタ自動車Toyota Motor Corp.（海外営業部門）ならびにトヨタ自動車子会社の国際経済研究所（Instituted for International Economic Studies）での勤務経験を有します。研究所での専門分野は、Global経営、自動車産業・企業、CASE戦略、IoT戦略（Internet of Things）、コーポレートガバナンスなどです。現在は自社Yoda Group Limitedでの調査研究を中心に、医療系サービス会社Nihon Visca Co., Ltd.の相談役、自動車問題研究会の幹事、産官学団体Robot Revolution & Industrial IoT Initiativeの会員などを兼務しており、自らのビジネス経験や調査研究の成果を活かした授業を心がけます。
