Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The purpose of this course is to provide students with a systematic understanding of management related to technology from the perspective of business administration (mainly organizational and strategic theory) and to enable them to apply this knowledge to the realities of the world around them. In particular, we will focus on how companies that create new products and services act to ensure that their value is accepted by the market and that they are able to earn profits.

【Learning Objectives】
The goal of this course is to understand the ideas and concepts related to technology and operation management and to be able to apply them to the real world around you.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will be expected to spend time reviewing this lecture. After each class, students will review the ideas and concepts learned in the lecture. In addition, try to apply the ideas and concepts you have learned to corporate behavior, technology, or industry changes reported in the news, etc., and verify the validity of the ideas and concepts in your own way. The standard allotment is one hour for preparatory study and three hours for review and application.

【Grading Criteria/Policy】
Both Technology Management I and II will be graded on the basis of a total of 80 % for weekly in-class assignments (quizzes or reports) and 20 % for the final report. Please note that if the final report is not submitted, the student will receive an "E" grade, even if he/she has exceeded 60 points on the weekly in-class assignments.
