Outline (in English)

Let's learn the basics and methods of marketing research through examples of many product planning. To make it easier for students to learn about marketing and research for the first time, this class gives interactive lectures and exercises based on actual corporate cases with the theme of "product planning" and "marketing" where research is often used and the concrete examples of research. In the spring semester, students will study qualitative surveys such as interviews and observation methods, and in the fall semester, they will study quantitative surveys such as questionnaire creation and data analysis. By learning both, a synergistic effect can be expected.

The goals are as follows.
(1) To acquire skills in quantitative research, such as questionnaire creation and data analysis, based on specific examples.
(2) To be able to conduct simple quantitative research and create a report to verify a hypothesis for product planning.

In addition to the class time, students are expected to review this class and prepare a final report. The standard preparation and review time for this class is one hour each.

Grades will be determined by in-class exercises (56%) and reports (44%).
