Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
With the development of ICT, the media handled by schools (libraries) are becoming more and more diverse. In this lecture, students will learn about the history of information media, their types, and how to utilize them from various perspectives. We will also learn about the legal basis for using information, such as intellectual property rights, digital citizenship, social cooperation, and special support, as well as attitudes toward independent learning.
【Learning Objectives】
Acquire knowledge of the types of information media and how to use them, as well as the legal basis and digital citizenship in providing them to students, and acquire the knowledge and methods to put them into practice in the field.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will search for information as needed and aim to acquire methods for effective use of information. Students are encouraged to keep an eye on the latest trends in informatization outside of class and to be actively involved. After each lecture, students are expected to read through and review the lecture content. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
The evaluation will be based on the level of understanding of the lecture content (types and characteristics of information media and how to use them) and the attitude of participation in class (whether the student actively participates in presentations, discussions, etc.), as well as on whether the student is well prepared for the assignment, has a solid awareness of the issues, and is willing to work on his or her own. The evaluation will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of the student's attitude toward the assignment. 60 points for regular work (including presentations on assignments, etc.), 40 points for assignments and reports.
